Titled 'Aotearoa - A Revolution in Health', this year's HealthTech Week will delve into all aspects of the New Zealand Health Reforms and what these changes mean for the health sector and health tech industries.

HealthTech Week will look and feel a little different this year as we have widened our collaborations to encompass other associations we work closely with. We are continuing to partner closely with our colleagues from Callaghan Innovation and the Consortium for Medical Device Technologies (CMDT) to kick off the week with the 'Combined Stakeholder's Innovation Day' on Monday, 27 June showcasing New Zealand’s innovation in medical technology and the ecosystem that can support our vibrant sector from research, development and commercialisation to market access.

We are also collaborating with the Digital Health Association (DHA formerly NZHiT), Medicines NZ (MNZ) and Health Informatics NZ (HiNZ) on the 'MTANZ HealthTech Conference' from 28-29 June to provide a broadened perspective of the health transition encompassing data & digital and medicines. This event will provide important information on the health transition from the Minister of Health, the Maori Health Authority, Health NZ and Pharmac. Industry leaders and clinicians will give their perspectives on the reforms and importantly, we will hear from patients and what the changes mean for them.

The CMDT and Aotearoa Brain Project 'Te Tītoki Mataora Forum' from 28-30 June is a new translational research initiative to advance New Zealand’s capability in medtech translation, and accelerate clinical and commercial opportunities into sustainable ventures that contribute to New Zealand’s health and economic growth.

The very successful 'Women in HealthTech (WiHT) Breakfast' meeting will also be back with a panel of female executives sharing their career journeys and factors that led to their professional success.

Whether it is finding out more about the Health Reforms, networking with colleagues you haven’t seen for a while, attending the HealthTech Showcase to learn about new technology, or attending the revamped Awards & Networking Night we would be delighted to see you there.
