MTANZ Conference 2024 | New Zealand Doctor 12 Jul 2024

Representatives from some of the biggest companies in Australasia’s health technology sector were on hand for this week’s Medical Technology Association of NZ (MTANZ) Conference in Auckland.

The two day-event which started on Monday included a range of speakers, from associate minister of health David Seymour and new Pharmac chair Paula Bennett to the Australian productivity commissioner Catherine de Fontenay. Key topics up for discussion included the Government’s plan to transfer responsibility for funding medical devices from Te Whatu Ora to Pharmac and the proposed repeal of the Therapeutic Products Act.
